Sivam Auto Tech

If you go down Sasido Road and look opposite Gera Hospital, you will see Sivam Auto Tech. Being across from a hospital means there are always people around, even late at night. We mostly work on engines and mechanical parts. There is usually a line of vehicles waiting out front. The shop floor is stained with oil and there are tools scattered across the workbenches. We try to keep it organized, but when things get busy, the wrenches end up everywhere. It is a noisy place with the sound of engines revving and metal clanking together. My hands are rarely clean, no matter how much soap I use at the end of the shift. We get a lot of people coming in who are stressed because their car or bike broke down right when they needed it. We just tell them to leave it with us and we will see what we can do. There is a small chai stall just a few doors down that does a good business because of the hospital and our shop. We usually grab a glass while we are waiting for a part to arrive. The traffic on Sasido Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we just stay focused on the task in front of us. It is honest work and it keeps us going. We turn off the lights and lock the doors once the last job is finished for the night.
