Sarvodaya Public School

Sarvodaya Public School is located on Ujha Road in Shanti Colony. People around here in Panipat know where we are because we’ve been in this spot for a long time. Every morning starts the same way with the school gates opening up and the sound of rickshaws dropping kids off at the entrance. It is not a fancy place, just a regular school where people come to learn and do their daily work. There is always someone fixing a desk or painting a wall during the summer breaks. Shanti Colony is a quiet enough place except for when the afternoon bell rings and everyone heads home. Most of the staff live nearby, so we see the parents at the local market or just walking down the street in the evenings. It is part of the neighborhood. We have the usual classrooms and a small area where students run around during their free time. The weather gets really hot in the summer, and we just try to keep things moving with the fans on. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the air in. It is just how it is here in Ujha. We don’t have big fancy posters or expensive displays. Just the daily routine of lessons and checking notebooks. You will see the school building easily enough if you are coming from the main part of town. It has a real lived-in feel to it.
