Nishan Public School

Nishan Public School is right there on Danialpur Road. If you know where the Flying Club is in Tikri, we’re just near that. It’s a busy spot most mornings. You can hear the planes taking off sometimes while the kids are in class, which is just part of the day here. We’ve been at this address for a while now, right by the P O. The building isn't brand new or anything, but it does the job. Most of us who work here live pretty close by, so we walk or take a cycle to get to the gate. It’s a local place through and through. The street gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, especially in the late afternoons. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of desks moving around and teachers talking. We don't have those fancy lobbies you see in magazines. There’s a big front gate that we keep shut during the day for safety reasons. Parents usually wait outside under the trees when it’s time for the kids to go home. It’s a lot of work keeping everything running, from fixing the old water coolers to making sure the registers are all updated correctly. Some days are really loud, and some are quiet. We just keep things moving along without making a big fuss about it. The kids come in, they do their lessons, and they head back out to the main road. That’s pretty much how it goes every week at this school.
