Our office is at 190, right behind K.R. Cinema in Karnal. If you are from around here in Haryana, you know the cinema is a big landmark. Being tucked away behind it means we get a lot of the crowd and the noise, but we don’t mind it. Marshal Constructions is basically just a few of us and our crews who go out to the sites. My desk is usually covered in dust and blueprints. Construction is a messy business, no matter how much you try to keep it organized. We spend our mornings talking to the laborers and our afternoons dealing with the suppliers for bricks and sand. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We aren't doing anything super modern or high-tech. We just build houses and small buildings for people in the area. Sometimes the weather in Karnal makes it hard to work, especially during the heavy rains or the peak summer heat. We just take it as it comes. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know most of the people around here. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Most people just walk into the office because they saw our sign or their neighbor told them about us. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We just focus on getting the walls up and making sure everything is solid before we move to the next job and start over again.
