Markanda Trading Co.

Markanda Trading Co. operates out of Shop No. 26 and 27 in the Janta Mandi Extension. We are situated right on Novelty Road, directly opposite the Kirloskar Godown. It’s a pretty active trading area with lots of trucks and goods moving in and out all day long. We have two shop units here to keep up with everything we handle. It isn't a quiet place by any stretch; there is usually the sound of loading or people shouting across the mandi. We deal with various trading items that keep the local markets supplied with what they need. Our days start early, often before the sun is fully up, to get things ready for the morning rush. The office part of the shop is just a desk and some ledgers, nothing too fancy for us. We don't spend money on big signs or advertising; people around here know where we are and what we do. Dealing with the Kirloskar Godown across the road means there’s always something happening nearby to watch. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a lot of stock comes in at once, but we straighten it out eventually. We’ve been at this location for a good while and have seen the mandi grow over the years. It’s hard work, and the weather can make it tough in the summer heat or during the rains, but we just keep going. It’s a basic, honest trading business.
