We are located at Shop No.6 on Railway Road which is right near the station in Karnal. Madhav Forex is a small operation and we mostly spend our time dealing with people who need foreign currency for their trips abroad. The location is convenient because of the trains but the traffic on Railway Road can be a real headache during the morning rush. Our shop is not very big so we have to keep things very organized so we can find everything. We have a lot of regular customers who come to us every time they travel and we know them by name. It is a lot of manual work checking bills and filling out the registers that the government requires us to keep. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel with old calendars on the wall and a desk that is slightly wobbling. We do not worry too much about the decor as long as the money is counted right and the customers are satisfied. It gets loud outside with the rickshaws and the tea stall nearby but that is just the character of the neighborhood. We are usually here from early morning until late evening making sure we are available when the trains come in. It is just a simple place doing honest work with money exchange for the local community.
