Indo Art Fashion

Indo Art Fashion is based out in Nangal Kheri, right near Sector 29. It’s a bit of an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving about and the sound of machinery in the distance. We have a workshop where we put things together. It isn't a high-fashion studio like you see on TV or in magazines. It is just a place with sewing machines and a lot of fabric scraps on the floor. We work hard here. Most of the people who work with us live nearby in the neighborhood. We know each other's families and what's going on in the street. We focus on making things that people actually use. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait for the generator, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one near the gate that’s a bit faded. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We don't do any advertising because we don't really know how to. We just make the clothes and send them out. The office part is just a desk in the corner with a phone that rings too much. We try to keep up with orders as they come in. It’s a messy process sometimes but we get it done. We are just regular people working in Nangal Kheri. Nothing special about it, just a way to make a living for everyone involved here.
