Hafed Sugar Mill

Hafed Sugar Mill is based in Village Phaphrana, just near the Post Office in Assandh. We are part of the Karnal district, which everyone knows is the heart of farming in this part of the country. Our days revolve around the sugar cycle. When it’s crushing season, the whole village feels different. There are tractors lined up all the way down the road and the air smells like boiled cane. It’s a lot of work to keep a mill like this going. We aren't sitting in air-conditioned offices all day; most of us are out on the floor or near the loading docks. Phaphrana is a small place, so everybody knows what’s happening at the mill. We have a lot of history here, and many of the people working with us have fathers or uncles who did the same work years ago. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for the local economy and the farmers who rely on us to take their crop. Sometimes the machines break down or the weather ruins the schedule, but we just fix what we can and keep moving forward. During the winter, it gets quite cold, so we drink a lot of tea to stay warm while we watch the gates. We don't spend money on big signs or marketing campaigns. We just focus on getting the sugar out and making sure the local farmers get their fair share.
