Engineers India Limited

Our office is over in Sector-7, part of the Urban Estate in Karnal. It is a fairly quiet area compared to some of the other more crowded parts of Haryana. Engineers India Limited has been at 225 for quite some time now. The street is wide, and there is usually some shade from the trees nearby, which is a big relief when the sun is beating down in the summer. Inside, it is just a regular office setup. We have got some old wooden desks and a printer that occasionally decides it doesn't want to work. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who have lived in Karnal most of our lives. We like the pace of things here. It is not as frantic as Delhi or even Chandigarh. We usually start the day with a bit of a chat about the news before getting into the actual work. Most of what we do involves a lot of technical details, but we try to keep the atmosphere light. People walk past the office on their way to the local shops, and we sometimes see familiar faces through the front glass. We aren't the kind of place that has big mission statements printed on the wall. We just show up, do the engineering work that is expected of us, and try to be helpful to anyone who calls. It is a simple, honest way to make a living. The winter mornings here are really cold.
