Earth Engineering Achievements is found behind the Chhokkar petrol pump on Sanoli Road. It is a busy area in Vidyanand Colony with a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. Most days start with us opening the shutters and clearing out some space for whatever project came in the night before. The workshop is at Kh. 28/7 and it has been here for a good while. You can usually hear the sound of the grinders from the street. It is not the kind of place with air conditioning or fancy chairs. We have a few old benches where we sit and eat our lunch together. Sometimes the trucks on Sanoli Road make so much noise we have to yell to hear each other, but we are used to it by now. The floor is mostly covered in metal shavings and oil spots that never really go away. We spend a lot of time checking measurements on the drawings. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home, then do it all again the next day. It is just a regular engineering shop doing regular work. Neighbors stop by to chat sometimes. We keep a kettle in the back for tea. If you look for the petrol pump, you will find us easily enough. The sign is a bit faded but it is still there. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done one by one.
