Desi Organic Farm

Our farm is located in Village Pundri, which is part of the Gharaunda taluk. It’s a quiet place, mostly surrounded by other fields. We do organic farming here, which means we spend a lot of time out in the dirt. It’s a different pace of life compared to the big cities. We follow the seasons. When it’s time to plant, we’re out there from dawn until it gets dark. When it’s harvest time, it’s even busier. We don’t have a corporate office. Our office is usually just a table under a tree or a small room in the house. We grow a variety of things depending on the time of year. Sometimes the weather doesn't go our way, like when the rain comes too late or too early. That’s just part of being a farmer in Gharaunda. We use traditional methods that have been passed down. It’s a lot of physical labor, like weeding by hand and moving irrigation pipes. My kids help out when they aren't in school. We know everyone in Pundri. We trade tips and tools with the other farmers nearby. We sell what we grow to local markets or people who drive out to see us. It’s a simple way of living, and we like the fresh air. It's hard work, but it's ours. There's always a dog or two running around the yard keeping us company while we work on the crops.
