Brahma Woolen Industries

Brahma Woolen Industries is right on G T Road, just opposite where Barsat Road comes in. It is a noisy spot because of all the trucks and buses flying by on the highway. We’ve got a big space here because wool takes up a lot of room. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of raw wool and the hum of the machinery. It isn't a quiet office job. We are usually out on the floor checking the machines or making sure the wool is being processed right. Our clothes get covered in lint by the end of the day. We don't wear suits or anything like that. It’s more of a boots and heavy shirts kind of place. The building has seen better days, but it keeps the rain out and gives us enough room to work. We deal with lots of different people coming in to pick up loads or drop off materials. Sometimes the heat in the summer gets a bit much, but we just drink more water and keep moving. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in and find someone. We are just a bunch of regular folks making wool products. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it a long time and we know the ropes of this industry.
