If you head over to Sector 8 in the Urban Estate, you will find us at 106 B. It is a quieter part of the town compared to the main markets. The area has a lot of wide roads and some trees, which is nice when you need a break. Our building is a bit plain on the outside, but inside there is a lot going on. We deal with a lot of leather, so that heavy, earthy scent is the first thing you notice when you walk in. We have large cutting tables and racks where the hides are kept. Some days the floor is covered in small scraps of brown and black leather. We just sweep them up at the end of the shift. It is a practical workspace. We do not have any fancy carpets or soft lighting. We use bright bulbs so we can see what we are doing. The staff usually brings their lunch from home, and we sit around the big table in the back to eat. It is a steady kind of life. We have been in this Sector 8 spot for a good while now. The mailman usually comes by around two, and he knows everyone’s name. It is that kind of place. We just focus on the work and making sure everything is sorted out properly before we lock up for the night.
