My office is Shop No. 27 on the first floor over in Vasant Vihar. It is located in the Palam Colony area of Karnal. Being on the first floor means I don't get as much foot traffic as the ground floor shops, but that's actually better for focusing on drawings. Architecture involves a lot of sitting and staring at a screen or a piece of paper. I’ve been at this for a while now. The space is filled with rolls of blueprints and some old models gathering a bit of dust. It isn't a corporate setup at all. It is just me and a couple of helpers sometimes. We handle local building designs and sort out the technical side of things that most people find boring. Karnal is growing fast, so there is always someone looking to build a new house or a small shop. I spend a lot of time visiting sites to make sure the walls are going up where they should. Sometimes things go wrong on-site and we have to fix it on the fly. That is just how construction is. It’s not always pretty. I like the practical side of the job more than the theory. If you come by Vasant Vihar, you’ll find the stairs to the first floor near the corner. It is a quiet place to sit and talk about whatever you’re planning to build.
