Our place is located in Sector- 8 Urban Estate, specifically at number 286. It is a residential-style building but we use the ground floor for the knitting machines. They make a fair amount of noise when they are all running, so we have put some padding on the walls to keep the sound down for the neighbors. When the winter season is coming, we are usually working almost all day and night to keep up with the orders. The floor is usually covered in little bits of wool and yarn by lunchtime. We have a small backyard where we sometimes dry the finished pieces if the sun is out and it is not too dusty. It is just a few of us working here. One of the machines is quite old now and needs oiling every few hours or it starts to make a loud squeak. We have an electric kettle in the corner for making tea, which we seem to do very often. It gets quite dusty in here with all the yarn fibers flying around in the air. We do not have a big storefront for people to visit; customers usually just come to the front gate and ask for us. The neighbors are mostly used to the constant humming of the machines by now. It is a steady kind of work and we pack the sweaters into big plastic bags for shipping.
