Telangana Tourism Recreation Society

The Telangana Tourism Recreation Society is located in Karimnagar, specifically in Saraswathy Nagar. We use the buildings at H. No 4-71 and 4-72/1 in the Theegalaguttapally area. It is a local setup where we focus on things to do around the state. We don't have a big tourism bureau feel. It's more like a community office where a few of us sit and plan out stuff. The area around Saraswathy Nagar is pretty quiet compared to the main city. We have some desks, a lot of papers, and maps pinned to the walls. People come in sometimes asking about local spots or how to get to the temples and parks. We don't have glossy brochures for everything, mostly just what we know from living here. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. The wooden chairs creak when you sit down and the windows let in a nice breeze when the weather is good. We’re not here to sell you a dream vacation, just to help organize recreation for the society members and anyone else interested in Telangana. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but the trees make it a nice spot. We spend a lot of time talking on the phone with different local groups. It’s steady work. We like being in Karimnagar because it feels more connected to the ground than the big cities. We just keep doing our bit for the local culture.
