Srinivasa Bricks

Srinivasa Bricks is situated at 2-8 on Korutla Road in Vemulwada. It’s a decent-sized plot where we keep our supplies. The road is often busy with people going toward the temple or the nearby towns. We get a lot of dust from the passing vehicles, but that’s expected in Vemulwada. Our day usually begins at dawn when the air is still a bit cool. We have a rhythm to how we stack the bricks and how we load the carts. It’s a lot of physical labor, but the guys here are strong and don't complain much. We’ve seen the town grow quite a bit since we first opened at this location. More houses are going up every year. Sometimes we sit by the road and watch the traffic while we have our tea. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We don't use any high-tech systems. We just write everything down in a big book and keep track of who owes what. People from the surrounding villages know they can find us here on Korutla Road. We try to be fair and just get through the day without any major issues. If a customer comes in late, we stay a bit longer to help them out. It’s just how things are done in a place like this. We don't need fancy words to describe what we do. It's just bricks and hard work every single day.
