You can find us in the village of Kallepalli, which is part of the Bejjanki Mandal. Our address is just 5-53, a small building where we run Sri Mallikarjuna Enterprises. Being out here in the village means we know almost everyone by their name and where they live. We don't have the kind of traffic you see in the city, but we stay busy enough with the local farmers and families. We keep a variety of essential items in stock because it’s a long way to the nearest big town if someone runs out of something important. The shop is a simple place with concrete floors and high shelves. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, and we just sit outside and talk with whoever passes by until it comes back on. It’s a very different way of doing business compared to the big stores. We don't have a computer system to track everything; most of it is done in a ledger book with a pen. We've lived in Kallepalli all our lives, so the business is just an extension of our daily routine. The dust from the road gets inside quite a bit, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. We don't have a website or do any fancy advertising. If someone needs something, they just walk down the road to our door. It’s a quiet, honest way to spend the day.
