Rocky Shoe Mart

Our shop, Rocky Shoe Mart, is right here in Laxmi Nagar. It’s a familiar part of Godavarikhani for us. We sell shoes for everyday use. It’s not a luxury boutique, just a regular store where people come to get something for their feet. We have stacks of boxes piled up towards the ceiling. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right size in the back room. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Saturdays, it gets a bit chaotic with everyone trying on different pairs. We’ve been in Laxmi Nagar long enough that we know many of the faces passing by. We don't have a big marketing department or a website. We just rely on the fact that people need shoes and they know we are here. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, and the chairs for sitting are older, but they do the job. We get all sorts of customers, from kids needing school shoes to workers looking for something sturdy. It’s a simple business. We open the shutters in the morning and sweep the front. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when it’s quiet. We aren't looking to expand into some giant chain. This one shop keeps us busy enough. It’s just how we make our living here in Godavarikhani. We hope the shoes we sell last a decent amount of time for the folks who buy them.
