Reddy Communications

Our shop, Reddy Communications, is at Dr.No.2-7-277, right opposite the Collectorate Second Gate. Being across from a government office means things are always moving fast around here. You see a lot of people coming and going all day long. We deal with phones and all sorts of communication stuff. Sometimes the shop gets so full of people waiting that they have to stand outside on the pavement. We’ve got a lot of tools on the back counter for fixing mobile screens and changing out batteries. It’s a bit messy with all the tiny screws and plastic bits everywhere. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a few months. Sometimes the second gate gets blocked with cars and it's hard for our deliveries to get through. We aren't a big corporation with uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable for working on electronics. If someone brings in a phone that’s been dropped in water, we do what we can to dry it out and save the data. It’s satisfying when a dead device finally turns back on. We’ve been in this district for a while and have seen the shops around us change, but we stay right here. Most of our day is spent answering the same kinds of questions about signal and battery life. It’s just us doing our thing every day at this spot.
