Maatha Sri Clinic

The Maatha Sri Clinic is tucked away at H. No 10-4-227/3/1 in Uday Nagar, Vavilalapally, over in Karimnagar. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, except for when people are heading to work or school in the morning. Inside the clinic, it’s pretty simple. We have a few chairs for people to wait in and a small desk where we keep the records. It’s not like those big city hospitals with glass walls; it’s just a local place where people come when they aren't feeling well. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who walk in with a cough or a fever. There’s usually a faint smell of antiseptic in the air, which is just part of the job. Sometimes the waiting room gets full and it stays a bit warm if the fan isn't on high, but people don't seem to mind much. We spend our days checking temperatures, writing down notes in the ledger, and making sure the supplies are stocked up on the shelves. It’s a lot of routine, but it’s important to the people who live around Vavilalapally. We know most of the families by name now, which makes the days go by a bit easier. When the sun sets over Karimnagar, we tidy up the instruments, lock the cabinet, and head out. It’s just what we do here in Uday Nagar every day, helping out where we can.
