At Kamala Poultry And Feed Mixing Unit, we do a bit of both. We raise some birds and we also mix the feed right here in Vilasagar. Our place is on Sy.No:1795A and 1796A. Being in the Boinpally mandal is good for us because we are close to the people who need what we make. The mixing unit is where the real work happens. It’s a lot of lifting heavy bags and making sure the grinder is working right. We don't like it when the machines break down because it slows everything up. We started doing our own feed because it just made more sense for the farm. Now we help out others too. It’s a family-style operation. We don't have uniforms or a fancy website. Most people just come by the village and find us. The yard is usually full of empty bags and some old equipment. It’s a busy spot. We spend most of the day covered in grain dust. It gets in your hair and clothes, but that’s the business. We focus on getting the work done rather than how the place looks. As long as the feed is good and the birds are healthy, we are doing alright. We’ve been in Vilasagar for quite a while now and we know the rhythms of the place. It’s just honest work in a small village. We keep the machines running and hope for the best each day.
