Gowri Shankara Contractors

This is the base for Gowri Shankara Contractors, right at House Number 3-163 in Kannala. People also call the area Shalapally. Our mail comes through the Basanthnagar post office. We spend most of our time out on sites, so the house is mainly where we keep the paperwork and the basic tools. Being a contractor in this part of the region means you are always on the move. We deal with whatever building or repair jobs come our way. Sometimes the work is in the village and sometimes we have to travel a bit further out. The sun can be quite brutal when you are working outdoors all day, but we are used to it by now. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the buildings around here over the years. We aren't a big firm with a bunch of managers in suits. It’s just us getting our hands dirty and making sure the walls are straight. People in Kannala know where to find us at 3-163 if they have a project starting up. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. We just talk to people and show them what we have done before. It’s a steady life of measuring, hauling materials, and dealing with the local weather. Every job is a bit different, which keeps things from getting too boring. We just do the work as it comes and try to finish things up properly before moving on to the next house or wall that needs building.
