Chalimeda Feeds Pvt Ltd is spread out over several plots in Thotapally village, covering survey numbers like 89/A, 90/2, and several others in the 200s. It’s a fairly large area in the Bejjanki mandal. When you get close to the gates, you can usually smell the grain and the different ingredients we mix for the animal feed. We spend our time dealing with big bags of corn, soy, and other supplements. It’s a lot of work to keep the ratios right, and the machines are running almost all the time to keep up with the demand from local farms. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. There are always trucks arriving with raw materials or leaving with finished bags of feed. The floor is often covered in a thin layer of dust from the milling process, but that’s just how a feed mill is. We have a good group of workers who know how to handle the heavy bags without complaining too much. We aren't interested in being some corporate giant with a thousand rules. We just want to make sure the cows and poultry in the region are getting fed. It’s a busy, dusty, and loud place, but it’s our workplace and we’re proud of it. We take the orders as they come and do our best to get them delivered on time. Sometimes the rains make the loading dock a bit slippery, but we manage to get the job done regardless.
