B.Haque Brick Industry

Out here in Village Kamalpur, things move at their own pace. B.Haque Brick Industry is located right on the Main Road, not too far from the Royal Public School. You can usually tell you are close when you see the stacks of bricks or the smoke from the kilns when they are running. It is a bit of a trek for some, but being near the school makes it easy to explain the directions to people. We have been making bricks here for a long time. It is hard work, mostly involving mud, water, and fire. The weather really dictates how much we can get done in a week. If it rains, everything slows down, which can be frustrating but that's just life in the brick business. Our setup isn't polished or corporate. It’s a field with stacks of red bricks and a few sheds for the workers. Most of our neighbors in Kamalpur know us well enough. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, someone is just walking around the yard and that's who you talk to. It gets quite busy during the peak season when everyone is trying to build or repair their houses. We just keep our heads down and keep the production going as best as we can. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset most days. There isn’t much more to it than that, just making bricks in the village.
