We are set up here at H.No.3-4-125 in Sai Nagar, Karim Nagar. It’s been a while since Tata Ryerson Ltd started as a joint venture between Ryerson Tull from the USA and Tata Steel. Most people around here just know the house on the corner. It is a bit of a mix of two big companies coming together, but on the ground in Andhra Pradesh, it’s just us working through the daily tasks. The office is tucked away in the 505001 pin code area. We deal with various metal things because of the Tata and Ryerson connection. It is not fancy. Just a regular workplace where things get done. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is quiet. Being in Sai Nagar means we are part of the local scene here. People stop by or call about steel stuff mostly. It is interesting how a company with roots in the USA and a big Indian name like Tata ends up with a spot in Karim Nagar. We just keep the doors open and handle what comes our way. There is a lot of paperwork usually. Working with steel is heavy work but it’s what we do. The address is pretty easy to find if you are familiar with the neighborhood. We have been at this location for a bit now. No big signs, just the work happening inside. We keep a stash of tea for the afternoons. It helps us get through the busy hours when things get a bit hectic with the logistics.
