Shesu Steel House

Our shop is located right on Manthani Road in Peddapalli. If you are driving down this way, you will see the piles of steel and metal stacked up near the entrance. It is number 65-96, though sometimes the numbers on this street are hard to see because of the grime and the sun. We spend most of our hours hauling heavy rods and sheets from one side of the floor to the other. It is loud work, especially when the trucks are unloading out front. My hands are usually covered in some kind of rust or grease by lunch, which is just part of the job when you work with steel all day. We have a small table in the back where we keep our registers and a fan that barely works when the heat really kicks in during May. People from the surrounding villages come by looking for bits and pieces for their construction projects. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that, just rows of metal and a heavy scale for weighing things out. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about the local news while we are cutting through some pipe. It gets pretty tiring on the back, but seeing the inventory move out to a new building site makes it worth the effort. By the time we lock up at night, the whole road has quieted down and we can finally hear ourselves think again.
