This DIC NCC joint venture operation is based out of Yelkathurthy in the Karimnagar district. We are located at the site associated with the late Pratap Reddy’s family. It is a quiet part of Andhra Pradesh, mostly filled with farmland and small local businesses. We are not a high-profile corporate office. Our daily life involves a lot of dirt, concrete, and heavy machinery. We wake up early to beat the sun and get as much done as possible before it gets too hot. The team is small but we have worked together for a long time. We handle the local construction needs, focusing on the infrastructure that keeps this area going. Our desks are usually covered in dust from the nearby worksites. We do not have any marketing people or fancy logos on the walls. We just have our names and the project files. Most of our conversations happen over a quick lunch or while standing near a truck. It is a very hands-on way to work. People around Yelkathurthy know us as the crew working on the local development. We try to be helpful and stay out of the way of the local traffic. It is hard work and the days are long, but we like seeing the progress at the end of every week. It is just a practical, local operation trying to finish the task at hand without any fuss or trouble.
