Panchal Iran Works

We’ve been here at shop number 209 in Mishur Pada for quite a long time now. Most people around here know the spot because we’re right near the Mohan Ji Temple in Masalpur. It’s a busy little area and we’ve seen it change quite a bit over the years. My name is Panchal and I run this Panchal Iran Works shop with a couple of helpers who have been with me for ages. We do a lot of different metal jobs, mostly just whatever the local people need for their houses or small shops. Sometimes it is gates, sometimes it is repairs for broken things. It gets very loud and hot in here, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop directly. We just get on with the work though. We aren't fancy and we certainly do not have a big office or anything like that. You'll usually find me covered in a bit of soot or holding a heavy tool. People just walk in from the street to talk about what they need done. We try to finish things on time but sometimes parts take a day or two longer to arrive from the main market. It’s just how it goes with this kind of work. If you’re coming down Masalpur way, you’ll definitely see our sign. The temple is really the best landmark to find us. We keep the doors open most of the day, unless it is a holiday.
