Patil Bricks

You can find us at Plot No.-66 in Green Park. We are right along the New Nagpur Pune Highway. It is a busy stretch of road, especially being so close to the Indian Oil Petrol Pump. There is always a lot of traffic hum in the background while we are working. We moved here because the access to the highway makes it easier for the big trucks to get in and out without getting stuck in small streets. The yard gets quite hot in the afternoons since there isn't much shade around the plot. We mostly just focus on getting the stacks ready for the morning deliveries. I usually have a tea with the drivers while they wait for their paperwork. It is not a glamorous job, just a lot of mud and heavy lifting. We have been working this plot for a while now and the neighbors at the petrol pump are used to the noise. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch if the weather looks like it might turn. It’s just me and a handful of workers who live nearby. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just working with our hands out in the yard. The highway is always loud, but you stop hearing it after a while. We are just a local spot doing our bit on the edge of the city.
