Kvk Ayurveda

Our little spot for Kvk Ayurveda is over at 24 Valluvar Salai. It’s right on the corner near Subramaniapuram 4th Street North Extension. If you know the area, you know it’s a bit of a maze back here, but we like it. We spend our days working with Ayurvedic products, mostly herbs and oils that people use for all sorts of things. The shop always smells like sandalwood or neem depending on what we opened that morning. We aren't a massive factory, just a local place where we keep things simple. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls or anything. We have wooden shelves that my uncle built and a lot of glass jars. People come in and out, asking for this or that, and we do what we can to help them find what they need. It’s a bit messy behind the counter with all the papers, but we know where everything is. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now. The rain sometimes gets in through the front door if it’s heavy, so we keep some sandbags ready by the side. It’s just how things go around here. We like the work and we like the people who stop by for a chat. It’s a nice way to spend the day.
