Site Engg

We are based at 40, Kailasanathar Koil Street in Karaikal. It’s a quiet enough spot in the U.T. of Puducherry, right near the temple. Site Engg is what we call ourselves, and mostly we just focus on local engineering needs. The street has a certain feel to it, especially during the festival times, but our office stays focused on the technical side of things. It’s a small place, nothing too grand. We spend most of our hours looking at site layouts or traveling to different parts of Karaikal to see how things are progressing. It’s a lot of manual checking and making sure things are where they should be. We don’t have a fancy website or a bunch of slogans. Just a simple desk, some chairs, and a lot of paper. Sometimes the humidity makes the work a bit slow, but that is just how it is living near the coast. People drop by now and then to discuss small projects or just to see if we are around. We try to keep things straightforward. If a job needs doing, we go out and look at it. There is no corporate ladder here, just a couple of guys who understand how sites work. It’s a practical way to earn a living in a place like Puducherry. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way, trying to stay out of the midday heat when we can.
