Sai Anand Hospital

You can find us over at Bacha Apartment 430 on Sinhagad Road. This building has been here for a long time, and we occupy a good part of it. The traffic on Sinhagad Road is almost always heavy, so there is a constant hum of engines coming through the windows. It becomes like background music after you work here for a few weeks. The hospital has several rooms, and they are mostly full of chairs and desks that have seen better days. We do our best to keep things moving along so people aren't waiting too long in the lobby. I spend a lot of my time answering the phone and filing away folders that seem to multiply when no one is looking. The staff usually brings their own lunch and we eat in the small back room while talking about whatever was on the news that morning. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when many people show up at once, but we just handle it one person at a time. The light in the hallway flickers occasionally, and the maintenance man says he will get to it next week. We know most of the people who come in here because they live nearby. It is a busy place, but we like the energy of the neighborhood. We are just a group of people working together in an old apartment building trying to do our jobs the best way we know how.
