Navin Spices

Navin Spices is located on Netti Road in the Khedgaon area. It’s a simple spot on a regular road where we do our daily work. The shop and the processing area are all in one place. You can tell we are here even before you see the sign because the air usually smells quite strongly of pepper and other ground spices. It often makes people sneeze when they first walk in, but we have gotten used to it over time. We don't have a huge team of people, just a few of us who know how to handle the grinders and the packaging machines. Khedgaon is a nice enough place to work, and Netti Road isn't too loud, which we appreciate. Our equipment is not the newest, but it gets the job done and we know how to fix it if something goes wrong. We spend a lot of time weighing out different spices and putting them into bags for the local shops. There is no big marketing strategy here. We just put the spices in the bags and wait for the regular customers to come by or for the trucks to take them away. The building itself is just a basic structure with a heavy metal door that we lock up every night. It’s a lot of manual work and it keeps us on our feet all day, but it’s what we know how to do.
