Gian Chand & Company

Gian Chand & Company is located on Markfed Road in the Subash Nagar area. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time, and we’ve seen a lot of changes on this street over the years. Our building is a simple one, right there on the main road. We do a bit of everything here, mostly handling orders and talking to people who stop by. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we’ve grown a bit since we started. There’s usually a pot of tea going in the back and someone chatting about the news. We don't have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, we just do it. The office is full of old ledgers and stacks of paper, though we’re trying to use the computer more these days. Markfed Road gets pretty busy, especially in the afternoons, so there’s always a bit of life outside the window. We like being part of Subash Nagar. It’s a place where people know each other’s names. We don't put on any acts here. We’re just honest people trying to run a business that supports our families. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just take it as it comes and try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door. It is just the way we work.
