Saint-Gobain Gypsum

Up here in Punjab, specifically in Kapurthala, we are over at Ashok Vihar Phase 2 on Circular Road. Sandeep Saxena runs things at 281/6. At Saint-Gobain Gypsum, we are mostly focused on the day-to-day logistics of plaster and board supplies for the local market. Circular Road can get pretty lively, especially with all the local movement, so there is always a bit of noise from the street coming inside. Our office is a straightforward place where we keep the ledgers and meet with the guys doing the actual construction work. We do not do much in the way of decoration. There are some board samples and a lot of pens that seem to go missing all the time. It is a lot of phone calls and checking on truck drivers to see where they are on the road. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a certain type of gypsum for a ceiling, we look at what is in the yard and give them a straight answer. People around here appreciate that honesty. We are not fans of long meetings or corporate reports. We would rather be out back making sure the loading is done correctly so nothing gets damaged on the bumpy roads around Kapurthala. It is a decent life, working with your hands and keeping the supply chain moving for the local builders who depend on us to finish their jobs.
