I’m based out of Kapurthala in Punjab. My father is Sh. Mohinder Singh, and our family has been here for a long time. People often think that working for a name like Lenovo India Pvt Ltd means you’re always in a big fancy office in a city like Bangalore, but here I am in Punjab. We handle things locally and I take care of what needs doing from this side of the country. Kapurthala is a nice place, a bit slower than the big metros but that suits me just fine. My day starts with checking what’s come in and seeing if there are any issues that need sorting out with the computers or the logistics. It’s practical work. I don't use a lot of corporate jargon because at the end of the day, it’s just about getting the machines to work and making sure people have what they need. I grew up around here, so I know the roads and the people well. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power cuts out, but we manage. It’s just how it is. I spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at screens, but I always make sure to step outside and breathe the air. My address here is simple, just like the way I run things. We just keep our heads down and do the work that’s assigned to us without making a big fuss about it.
