Out here in Jasso Mazara, near Behram, things are a bit quieter than in the big cities. We’ve set up Gill Universal Prop Builders Private Limited right in this area of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Most of us are local guys who know the roads and the people around Phagwara and Kapurthala. It’s a different way of working when you know your neighbors. We aren't a corporate machine. We’re just a bunch of people who know how to handle bricks and mortar. Sometimes we meet clients at a local tea stall because it’s easier than sitting in an office all day. Our work takes us all over the district. We see a lot of farmland turning into houses. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down in the summer. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just build. If someone needs a wall put up or a house finished, we figure out a way to get it done. The address sounds a bit long when you write it out, but everyone around here knows where Behram is. We keep our tools sharp and our minds on the task. There are no big promises, just the fact that we’ll show up tomorrow morning and keep working until the sun goes down.
