Gharu Art

Gharu Art is based out of Village Chak Bindal. We are located near the Post Office here in the village, which is in the Jalandhar district. If you are coming down Ladowali Road, we are quite near the Balmiki Mandir. It is a quiet place to work, away from the main city noise. We’ve been here in Chak Bindal for many years. This is where we do all our creative work. The air is a bit cleaner out here and it helps us focus on what we are making. It’s not a big corporate office. It feels more like a workshop or a home. We have tools and materials scattered around because we are always in the middle of a project. We don't really follow a strict schedule. We just work until the light goes down or until we’re tired. People from the village often stop by to see what we are doing. We like the connection we have with the local community. Being near the mandir gives the place a calm feeling. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just make our art and hope people like it. The walk down Ladowali Road is nice in the mornings. We are just a small group of people doing what we enjoy in a place we know well. It’s a simple life but it suits us. We have been here a long time and don't plan on leaving. There is always something new to start on.
