Bhole Nath Rice & General Mills

Bhole Nath Rice & General Mills is tucked away in Kartarpur village. We are out in the Kapurthala taluka, not far from the Jang-E-Azadi Memorial. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time. The mill has been around here for years, and we handle both rice and other general milling tasks. Most people in the village know us by now. We work out of a plain building that’s seen better days, but it gets the job done. Working with grain is a messy business, honestly. There is always some dust in the air. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn’t always look that way to an outsider. My family helps run the place, and we have a few local guys who come in to help with the heavy lifting. The location near the memorial makes it easy for people to find us if they aren't from around here. We deal with the farmers and the local traders who drop off their stuff. It’s just how we make a living. The machinery is loud, so you can usually hear us working from down the road. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just this spot in Kartarpur. It’s a basic operation, nothing flashy. We just focus on getting the milling done so people can get on with their day. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just wait it out together with some tea. It's just our way of life.
