Vikrant Engineers

Vikrant Engineers is located over at Plot No. 3 in the G.I.D.C area of Kapadwanj. If you know industrial estates, you know what it’s like here. It’s a lot of metal, a lot of noise, and plenty of hard work. We have been operating out of this plot for a good while. Kapadwanj is a bit out of the way for some, but for an engineering firm, it’s exactly where we need to be. Our workshop has that smell of oil and cut steel that never really goes away. We don't have a fancy reception area or air-conditioned offices for everyone. It’s mostly just the shop floor and a small space for the paperwork. The guys here have been working with machines for most of their lives. We don't make big speeches about what we do; we just take the drawings and try to make the parts right. Some days are long, especially when a machine breaks down or a deadline is tight. The sun hits the roof of the shed and it gets hot, but that’s just part of the job in G.I.D.C. We’ve got a couple of old trucks that come and go with materials. It’s a simple, gritty kind of life. We just keep our tools sharp and our heads down. We aren't worried about being famous, we just want the machines to run smooth.
