Vaibhavi Farmer Producer Company Limited

We started this group right here in Thasra. Our office is at Kanha Arcade, specifically number 2 on the Kapadvanj Road. Most of us grew up around here and farming is basically all we’ve ever known. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we manage. We figured it was better to form a proper company like this one so we could get things done as a team rather than everyone just doing their own thing. It’s a lot of paperwork and meetings, which nobody really likes, but it’s necessary these days. We spend a lot of time talking about the crops and what the market is doing. If you are passing by Kapadvanj Road, you might see our sign. It’s not a huge office or anything, just a simple place where we keep our registers and meet up when we need to decide something. Sometimes the rains are good and sometimes they aren’t, that’s just how it goes for us. Being part of this farmer producer company helps us deal with the daily stuff. We don't have any big corporate bosses or anything like that. It is just the local farmers from the taluka trying to make a living and looking out for each other. Sometimes we sit there at Kanha Arcade for hours just sorting out the accounts. It’s hard work but it feels right because we are doing it for ourselves and our neighbors in this part of Gujarat.
