Prabha Paints

We’ve been running Prabha Paints for a while now at 52, Asaripallam on Trivandrum Road. It’s a good spot because of all the traffic that goes past every day. The shop itself is just a simple room filled with paint cans of all sizes. We don’t have those bright neon signs or anything; the door just stays open to the street. Most of our day is spent moving heavy tins from the back to the front. The dust from Trivandrum Road is a constant thing we have to deal with, so there’s a lot of cleaning involved. We don't use any fancy sales talk here. If someone comes in, we just show them what we have in stock and tell them the price. It’s a straightforward way to do business. The floor is a bit scuffed up from moving boxes around, but it works for us. We know our regulars and sometimes have a quick chat while they’re picking up their supplies. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We’re just a local paint shop on a busy road. We keep our records in a ledger and focus on the daily stuff. It's a plain, honest way to earn a living, and we’re fine with that. It's just how we get by most weeks without any fuss.
