Planing Engineer

I am based out of Vadivilai in the Neyyoor Post area. This is in the Kanyakumary District of Tamil Nadu. The pin code here is 629802. My work as a planning engineer involves a lot of technical drawings and looking at construction schedules. I don't have a big office in a city building. I mostly work from a room here in Vadivilai. It’s a quiet place and that helps when I have to do a lot of calculations. I’ve lived in this part of Tamil Nadu for a long time. People around the village know what I do, so they come by when they have a project that needs a plan. I am not a big company with many employees. It is just me and my computer and my drafting tools. I spend my days looking at how buildings are going to be put together and making sure the timing is right. Sometimes I have to go out and see the sites, which takes me all over the district. The work is steady but it isn't very fast-paced. I like the way things are here. I don't need a lot of fancy equipment or a polished office to get my work done. I just focus on the blueprints and the numbers. It’s a simple way to make a living and it keeps me connected to the local community here in Neyyoor. My desk is usually covered in notes and pencils.
