Om Shakthi Exports

We are located at 34, South Car Street in Nagercoil. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it is right near the heart of the local temples and the daily markets. Our office is in an old building that has seen a lot of history. We spend our days dealing with exports, which mostly involves a lot of packing, weighing, and talking to shipping agents. The street outside is always noisy with bells, people talking, and scooters zipping past. Inside, our space is usually crowded with boxes and rolls of tape. We don't have a fancy lobby; if you come to see us, you’ll probably find us mid-task with a cup of tea in hand. We are a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to carrying crates. Sometimes the shipping schedules get messed up or the weather in the port causes delays, and we have to stay late to sort it out. We aren't a big, cold company. We know the shopkeepers next door and we buy our snacks from the same guy every afternoon. It’s a busy life on South Car Street, and it gets very hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the ceiling fans on high and keep working. We are just local people trying to send our goods out to the rest of the world.
