Selvam Exports

You can find us at the Msr Complex, right at Chettikulam Jn in Nagercoil. It’s a lively spot to be, with a lot of traffic and people moving through the junction all day long. Selvam Exports has been operating from this building for a while now. We share the complex with a few other businesses, so there is always someone to chat with during a break. Most of our work involves sourcing things and getting them ready to be sent abroad. It involves a lot of checking and double-checking, which can be a bit tedious, but it has to be done. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of levels. If you have a question, you just ask whoever is standing closest to you. We like the directness of it. Nagercoil is our home, and we like working in the heart of it. The office gets a bit loud when the buses go by outside, but we don't mind much. We've got a routine down that works for us. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or polished brochures. We’d rather just focus on the task at hand. Some days are long, and we end up staying late to finish the manifest, but that is just part of the trade. We keep things simple and try to be honest about what we can do and what we can't. Dealing with the customs paperwork takes up most of our afternoons, but we’ve learned to manage the stress of it over time without making a big deal of things.
