Morris Hospital

Morris Hospital is a fixture here in Nagercoil. It’s a decent-sized building that has been around for a good while now. You can find us easily enough in the middle of Nagercoil. Inside, it feels like any busy hospital. There’s the smell of cleaning supplies and the sound of people talking in the corridors. We have different floors for different things, though the elevator can be a bit slow during the shift changes. Our staff is a mix of people who have lived in Nagercoil their whole lives and some newer folks. We don’t have a lot of those polished, corporate brochures. We just focus on the patients who come through the doors every morning. The lobby has those standard plastic chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We see a lot of different cases every day, from minor things to more serious stuff. It gets pretty hectic around lunchtime. The billing desk is usually the busiest spot in the place. We try to keep the queues moving, but sometimes there’s a wait. It’s a real, working hospital with all the usual ups and downs. We’ve got a small canteen downstairs that serves okay tea and snacks. It’s just a part of the community here, providing a place for people to get checked out when they aren't feeling well. We keep things running as best as we can for everyone in town.
