Maclean Hospital

Maclean Hospital is located right in Mettukadai. It’s been a fixture in this area for quite some time now. People around here just call it the hospital at the junction or simply Maclean. We aren't one of those glass-walled buildings you see in the city center. This is a practical place built to handle the needs of the local Mettukadai population. We have rooms for patients who need to stay over and a small area for those just coming in for a quick look. The hallways are a bit narrow, and the paint might be peeling in a corner or two, but the medical side of things is what we focus on. We have a small team, and everyone wears multiple hats to keep things running. If the floor needs mopping and the cleaner is busy, someone else jumps in. It’s that kind of place. We don't have a fancy reception desk with a computer for everything; we still use a lot of paper logs and notebooks. It’s just how we’ve always done it in Mettukadai. The local farmers and shopkeepers are our main visitors. We try to keep things affordable because we know the people here. It’s a busy life at Maclean Hospital, but it feels right being part of this community. We just take it one day at a time and deal with whatever emergencies or coughs come our way.
