Lister Hospitals

Our place, Lister Hospitals, is located on Main Road in Marthandam, which is part of the Kanniyakumari area. It is a spot that many locals know well. Being on the Main Road makes us easy to spot if you are traveling through this part of Kanniyakumari. The building has been here for years, and it has seen a lot of change in the town around it. We are a hospital that deals with a bit of everything. It's a busy environment most days. You’ll see people sitting in the waiting area, talking or just waiting their turn. We aren't a corporate chain or anything like that. It's just a local hospital trying to help out. The staff knows many of the patients by name since Marthandam isn't that huge. We have different sections for different needs. The floors are a bit worn but we keep them scrubbed. It can get a bit hot in the summer, but we do what we can. People come in from the surrounding villages too because the bus stops right near us. It’s a practical setup. We don't have fancy lobbies with fountains. We just have chairs, desks, and medical rooms. It is a straightforward place for medical things on the Main Road. We have been a part of the landscape here for a long time and we just keep going day by day. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do here in Kanniyakumari. People just call it the hospital on the main road.
