Leela Exports

Leela Exports is located at No. 364 in Erulappapuram, which is near the Kottar Post in Nagercoil. Being down here in Kanyakumari, the weather is usually something we talk about while we work. The building is a sturdy one, which is good when the winds get strong. We do a lot of packing and checking of goods before they head out. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving things around the warehouse floor. We don’t have any slick office furniture; mostly just heavy-duty tables and some old filing cabinets. The area around Kottar Post is always a bit busy with people moving about. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a while, and everyone in the neighborhood knows the Leela Exports sign. We keep the doors open most of the day to let the air circulate. It’s a busy place but we don’t rush things too much because mistakes happen when you’re in a hurry. Our days are filled with the sound of tape dispensers and the rustle of packing materials. It’s honest work and we like the rhythm of it. We are just a local team doing what needs to be done to keep the business going. Sometimes we stop for tea and then get right back to the crates. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it at this Nagercoil address for quite some time now. No two days are exactly the same, but the work remains.
